What you will build

Broadcasting is shifting from fixed facilities to flexible, networked workflows, and the teams that keep a live feed alive need both old-school discipline and new technical skills. Our courses are designed to turn curious people into dependable operators.

By the end of a programme you will be able to set up a signal chain, frame a clean shot, deliver a feed to a broadcaster and handle a failure with a clear head, all while communicating with a live production team.

Benefits

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you enquire about a course.

How long do the courses last?
Courses run from three to twelve days depending on the programme. Each day is a full studio or lab day, and the schedule is shared when you enquire.
Do I need broadcast experience?
No. Foundation and camera courses start from the basics. Distribution and remote contribution suit people who already know the fundamentals of video.
What equipment will I train on?
Professional shoulder and pedestal cameras, SDI and IP routing, vision mixers, monitoring and bonded cellular units similar to those used by UK newsrooms.
Where do the courses take place?
In-person sessions run in London and Manchester. Remote contribution labs are partly delivered online so you can join from anywhere in the UK.
Can you train our whole team?
Yes. We run corporate and in-house programmes for broadcasters and production companies, tailored to your workflows. Send us an enquiry for a quote.
How do I reserve a place?
Send an enquiry through the contact page. We will confirm availability, dates and the final price, then guide you through the next steps.
